Excelente

Excelente

Today’s Spanish word of the day is “excelente”.

It’s an adjective meaning “excellent”, “outstanding” or “superb”.

Both Spanish “excelente” and English “excellent” come from Latin excellens meaning “towering, prominent, distinguished”.

No basta con ser bueno: sé excelente.

It’s not enough to be good—be excellent.

El servicio fue excelente.

The service was excellent.

No fue excelente, pero estuvo bien.

It wasn’t excellent, but it was okay.
