It’s a verb meaning “to run”.
“Correr” is a regular verb. Here’s the conjugation in the present tense:
- Yo corro – I run
- Tú corres – You run (informal singular)
- Él/Ella/Usted corre – He/She runs, You run (formal singular)
- Nosotros/Nosotras corremos – We run
- Vosotros/Vosotras corréis – You run (informal plural, only used in Spain)
- Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes corren – They run, You run (plural)
As well as referring to running in a literal sense, the word can also be used metaphorically in phrases such as the following:
