Próximo

Today’s Spanish word of the day is “próximo”.

It’s an adjective that can mean “next” (as in “following”) or “close/near”, either in a literal sense or more metaphorically, for example when referring to relationships.

The word “próximo” comes from Latin proximus (“nearest”), from which we get the English words “proximity” and “approximate”.
